Reps glossary

The reps community has its own language: a mix of English, slang and technical terms that every creator needs to master to read the guides, talk to sellers and stay credible with their audience. A creator who doesn't know this vocabulary is instantly spotted as a beginner, and their credibility takes the hit.

Buying & ordering

Agent
Intermediary platform (Lolobuy, LoveGoBuy, CSSBuy) that buys the product from the Chinese seller on your behalf and handles international shipping.
W2CWhere to Cop
"Where can I buy this?": the question you ask when you're looking for the link to a specific product.
GPGuinea Pig
Being the first to order from an untested seller, to "test the waters" on behalf of the community.
Haul
A combined order of several items shipped in a single parcel.
Top-Up
Balance credited to your agent account, which you can use to place orders.

Quality & checking

QCQuality Check
Photos of the product taken by the agent at the warehouse before shipping, so you can check the quality.
GLGreen Light
Accepting the product after the QC: "green light, send me the product".
RLRed Light

Batch
A production run of the same model by the same factory. A "good batch" = high quality. Two batches of the same model can be very different.
1:1
A replica considered nearly identical to the original: the "holy grail" of quality.

Lower-quality replica, but very cheap (€10-20).
Mid-tier
Middle-of-the-road quality.
High-tier / Top-tier
The best quality available.

Guide 01

Ordering on Lolobuy

Create your account and place your first order in 5 steps.

Ordering on Lolobuy for the first time can feel intimidating: the process is different from buying on Amazon or Zalando. But once you understand the 5 steps, it's as simple as any other e-commerce site: 10 minutes at most.

  1. Create your account. On lolobuy.com (ANCELOTTI referral link, discount included), click "Sign Up". Enter an email you check every day (that's where the QC and tracking notifications land), a strong password, and confirm the verification email. Once logged in, complete your profile with your full shipping address (first name, last name, street address, postal code, city, phone number). This address will be used for every shipment: entering it correctly from the start saves you trouble later.
  2. Find the product and paste the link. Lolobuy is a middleman: you don't browse a Lolobuy catalog, you find the product on a seller site (Weidian, Taobao, 1688, Yupoo) through creators' spreadsheets, Discord servers or Telegram channels. Copy the product link and paste it into the Lolobuy search bar at the top of the page ("Paste item link"). Lolobuy automatically pulls the details: photo, price in yuan, size and color options.
  3. Select the options and add to cart. Pick the size (careful: Chinese sizes can differ from European ones, always check the seller's size guide), the color, the quantity. The price is in yuan (¥), but Lolobuy also shows the equivalent in euros. You can put several products from different sellers in the same cart: Lolobuy gathers everything in a single warehouse in China before shipping.
  4. Pay for the order (domestic purchase). This first payment only covers the product price + Lolobuy's service fee (5 to 10% of the price). It does NOT cover international shipping, which is paid separately once the product has reached the warehouse and its actual weight is known. Accepted methods: PayPal, credit or debit card, and sometimes your Lolobuy balance.
  5. Wait for the QC, then ship. The seller sends the product to the Lolobuy warehouse (2 to 7 business days). On arrival, Lolobuy takes the QC photos and posts them in your dashboard. You review the photos: GL (Green Light) if you accept, RL (Red Light) if you want an exchange/refund. If GL, you pick the shipping line and pay the shipping fee. If RL, the product is sent back to the seller.
Guide 02

Understanding the Lolobuy dashboard

The complete map of the dashboard: the tabs that matter, every status explained in plain English, and how to estimate shipping before you send anything.

The Lolobuy dashboard is the control center for all your orders: it's where you track purchases, approve QC, pay shipping and collect your commissions. It's packed with information, but in reality, 5 tabs and 7 statuses are all you need to understand everything.

The 5 essential tabs

  • Orders. The list of your purchases and their status in real time: this is the tab you'll check the most.
  • Warehouse. The items that have arrived at the warehouse, with their QC photos and actual weight. This is where you prepare your shipment.
  • Parcels. Parcels already shipped, with the tracking number (see Tracking your parcel).
  • Wallet / Balance. Your balance: refunds, coupons, credits. Can be used to pay shipping.
  • Affiliate. Your invites and referral commissions (see Withdrawing your balance).

Order statuses explained

  1. Pending

Order received, the agent hasn't bought from the seller yet.

    ' + L.youDo + 'Nothing, you wait (a few hours to 1 business day).

  2. Purchased

The agent has bought the product from the seller.

' + L.youDo + 'Nothing, the seller is preparing the shipment.

  3. Shipped by seller

The seller has shipped to the warehouse (2 to 7 business days).

    ' + L.youDo + 'You wait, it's domestic transport within China.

  4. In warehouse

The item has arrived at the warehouse.

' + L.youDo + 'You wait for the QC photos (often automatic within 24-48 h).

  5. QC uploadedAction needed from you

    The QC photos are available.

' + L.youDo + 'You review them and reply GL or RL: this is the key step.

  6. Submitted

Parcel approved, shipping paid, being prepared for dispatch.

' + L.youDo + 'Nothing, the agent packs it and hands it to the carrier.

  7. Sent out

The parcel has left the warehouse, tracking is active.

' + L.youDo + 'You follow the journey on 17track (guide Tracking your parcel).

Where to find the QC and reply GL / RL

In Orders or Warehouse, click the item whose status is "QC uploaded": the photos appear in high resolution and can be zoomed. Two buttons come with each item: accept (GL) or reject (RL, exchange or refund). To know what to look for in the photos and how to decide, follow the full method in the guide Analyzing QC photos.

Estimating shipping before you send

In Warehouse, each item shows its actual weight as measured at the warehouse. Adding up the weights of your haul gives you an instant shipping estimate using the standard line's rate card:

Lolobuy shipping grid, standard line (estimate)
WeightEstimatePrice per kilo
1 kg€11.99€11.99/kg
2 kg€22.29€11.15/kg
3 kg€32.08€10.69/kg
4 kg€41.87€10.47/kg
5 kg€51.66€10.33/kg
6 kg€61.45€10.24/kg
7 kg€71.24€10.18/kg
8 kg€80.62€10.08/kg
9 kg€89.84€9.98/kg
10 kg€99.05€9.91/kg
The rule of thumb: about €12 for the first kilo, then about €10 per additional kilo. Direct consequence: grouping pays off (3 parcels of 1 kg = €35.97, versus €32.08 for 1 parcel of 3 kg), and splitting a very large haul costs little (10 kg as 2 × 5 kg = €103.32, only €4.27 more).

Important note: this is an ESTIMATE grid for the standard line. The billed weight is the higher of the actual weight and the volumetric weight (calculated from the parcel's dimensions). To know the exact figure before paying, do a rehearsal, and optimize the packaging with the guide Reducing weight.

Notifications and check-in routine

In your account settings, turn on email notifications for QC and status changes: that's how you find out an item is waiting for a decision. Then a 2-minute routine, twice a week, is enough: open Orders, deal with any pending "QC uploaded", glance at Warehouse to see whether the whole haul has arrived, check Parcels if a parcel is on its way. A QC left without a reply can be approved automatically after a set period: better to decide yourself than let the deadline decide for you.

Guide 03

Ordering via Yupoo

Using a Yupoo catalog to order through the agent.

Yupoo is a photo album host that Chinese sellers use as a visual catalog. It is NOT a shopping site: you cannot buy anything directly on Yupoo. You browse it to see a seller's products, then place the order through the agent (Lolobuy). Mistaking Yupoo for a shopping site is the number one beginner mistake.

  1. Open the seller's album. Every seller has a Yupoo page (URL like "sellername.x.yupoo.com"). You will find these addresses in creators' spreadsheets, Discord channels, Telegram groups or community guides. Products are sorted into albums: each album shows one product from several angles, sometimes with the price in the title or as a watermark.
  2. Identify the product and find the purchase link. The seller usually provides a purchase link in the album description or title, pointing to Weidian, Taobao or 1688. If there is no direct link, contact them (WhatsApp, WeChat, or whatever tool is listed on their Yupoo page) to ask for the product link. Some sellers only work by direct order (you send the photo, they send back the link).
  3. Copy the link and paste it into Lolobuy. Once you have the link, the process is the same as in guide 01: paste it into Lolobuy, pick size and color, add to cart, pay.
  4. Check the price. The price shown on Yupoo should match the one on the link. If the link shows ¥1 or ¥10 (a placeholder price), it is a generic link: contact the seller to confirm the real price and the payment method. Some sellers use a single link with a variable price: you pay the amount they give you by message, not the one displayed.
The trick to decoding Yupoo prices: many sellers encode the price in the title. "AJ4 Retro : ¥350" = the pair costs 350 yuan (about €45). Others encode quality/price: "P350", "A1", "Top Tier" refer to tiers documented in community guides (Discord servers, Telegram channels).
Guide 04

Reading a Weidian or Taobao listing

Translate the page in one click, spot the four areas that matter and pick the right option without getting it wrong.

A Chinese product listing looks intimidating at first glance: everything is in Chinese characters, the options are coded, the price seems to change depending on what you click. In reality, four areas are all you need to order correctly, and your browser does the translating.

Translate the page in one click

On desktop, Chrome and Edge offer automatic translation: right-click the page, "Translate to English", or use the translate icon in the address bar. On mobile, the browser offers the same thing in its menu. The translation is rough but more than good enough for the options and the stock. A few words worth recognising even without translation:

The Chinese words to recognise
ChineseMeaningWhy it matters
颜色ColourThe first option to choose
尺码 / 尺寸Size / dimensionsThe second option, often in codes
现货In stockShips quickly
预售 / 定金Pre-order / depositLong wait, sometimes paid in two instalments
库存StockThe number next to it = quantity available
默认DefaultThe "standard" option, check it before confirming

The four areas that matter

  1. The price. In yuan (¥). A range ("¥180-260") means the price depends on the option you choose: it locks in once the variant is selected. A price of ¥1 or ¥10 is a placeholder: see Contacting a Chinese seller.
  2. The options. Colour, size, sometimes "version". They are often coded (A, B, C or 1, 2, 3) with a small photo: compare the option thumbnail with the main photo before choosing. Many failed orders come from a badly chosen option, not a bad seller.
  3. Stock and status. "In stock" ships within a few days; "pre-order" can take several weeks and sometimes requires a deposit. The guide When to order explains the periods to avoid.
  4. The description. This is where the seller's size guide and detail photos are hiding. On Lolobuy, this description is carried over into the item page: it is the reference for sizing (see Finding your size).

In Lolobuy

Once the link is pasted into Lolobuy (or converted, see Converting a link), the listing is carried over with its options translated into English. Check that the selected option really matches the one you spotted on the original listing: it is the last check before payment.

The habit that prevents 90% of mistakes: when confirming, take a screenshot of the chosen option (thumbnail + code + price). If the item you receive does not match, that screenshot is the proof that gets you the exchange.

Converting a link that doesn't work

5 types of links the agent doesn't recognize, and the fix for each one.

Converting a link means turning a link found on a source (Yupoo, Weidian mobile, shortened link, 1688) into a working link for the agent. Common scenario: you find the perfect product, you paste the link into Lolobuy... and nothing. A lot of beginners give up right here. The reality: in 90% of cases, it's fixed in 30 seconds.

1. The Yupoo link (the most common)

Typical URL: "sellername.x.yupoo.com/albums/12345". It's a catalog link, not a purchase link: Lolobuy doesn't recognize it. Fix: open the album, find the purchase link (Weidian/Taobao) in the description or the title, and paste THAT link into Lolobuy.

2. The truncated Weidian mobile link

Copied from the Weidian app, the URL contains tracking parameters that break recognition: "weidian.com/item.html?itemID=5847362918&spider_token=abc123&share=...". Fix: keep only "weidian.com/item.html?itemID=5847362918", deleting everything after the itemID number (everything after the "&").

3. The shortened link (bit.ly, t.co, s.click)

Lolobuy doesn't recognize shortened links. Fix: open the link in a browser; it redirects to the full URL. Copy that full URL from the address bar and paste it into Lolobuy.

4. The Taobao link with a login wall

Some Taobao links send you to a login page. Fix: log in to Taobao in a tab (free account if needed), then reopen the link; the product page shows up. Copy the URL (like "item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=...") and paste it into Lolobuy.

5. The 1688 link

Typical URL: "detail.1688.com/offer/...". Some agents don't support it natively. Fix: Lolobuy supports 1688, so paste the link as usual. Otherwise, look for the same product on Weidian/Taobao (the seller is often on several platforms) or use an agent that supports 1688.

The universal tool: some Discord servers have a conversion bot: paste any link into the dedicated channel and the bot sends back the compatible link. It's the fastest method when it's available.
Guide 06

Finding the best links

The 4 link sources ranked by reliability, plus the golden rule.

Finding the right link means finding the best quality-to-price ratio for a model from a reliable seller. It isn't luck, it's a skill. A creator who masters it saves time, avoids bad sellers, and recommends quality to their audience, which strengthens their credibility and their activations.

1. Verified creators' spreadsheets: very high reliability

The spreadsheets of established creators in the Ancelotti Production network contain links that have already been tested, QC verified and kept up to date. The safest source for a beginner: someone has already done the work. Check the last update date: a link older than 2 months may be out of stock.

2. Specialized Discord servers: high reliability

Community servers (Lolobuy France, France Buy, the network creators' servers) have dedicated channels (#finds, #links, #w2c). Links posted by reputable members are generally reliable. Always look at the reactions and comments: if others confirm the quality with QCs, the link is validated.

3. Telegram channels: high to medium reliability

Advantage: freshness (links posted the same day). Drawback: less community feedback than Discord. Check the QCs on other sources before ordering.

4. Searching directly on Weidian: variable reliability

Searching on Weidian (English keywords or model number) lets you find lesser-known sellers, sometimes cheaper, but the risk of poor quality is higher. Never order without checking the seller's reviews and sales.

The golden rule: never order a link without at least 2 quality confirmations (QCs posted by other buyers, Discord or Telegram reviews, or a recommendation from a verified creator). An unverified link is a gamble, and in reps, gambles cost time (2-3 weeks for a mediocre product) and money (refund not guaranteed).
Guide 07

Finding a link on Telegram & Discord

The speed of Telegram, the depth of Discord, and the combined strategy.

Telegram and Discord are the two richest channels for finding links. They complement each other: Telegram is built for fast broadcasting (one find gets posted, everyone sees it), Discord for searching and discussing (questions, QC, collective validation).

Telegram: speed

Join the channels of Ancelotti Production creators and the community reps channels. The built-in search (magnifying glass at the top of the channel) lets you search by keyword: type the exact name of the model ("Jordan 4", "Prada Cups", "Balenciaga T-Shirt"). The results show every message with photos, prices and direct links. Save the useful messages by forwarding them to "Saved Messages".

Advanced tip: join the Telegram channels of the Chinese sellers themselves: many premium sellers post their new products there in real time, even before updating their Yupoo.

Discord: depth

Join the Ancelotti Production servers and the servers of the creators in the network. The key channels:

  • #w2c (Where to Cop): post a link request with the model you are looking for + your max budget; members reply with tested links and QCs.
  • #finds: browse the latest finds.
  • #qc-checks: see the QCs posted by others and evaluate a seller before ordering.

The Discord search bar (Ctrl+F inside a channel) digs through the entire history: months or years of links. Some servers have a bot: type "!search Jordan 4" or "/find Dunk Low" to get the most recent links, automatically aggregated.

The combined strategy: Telegram for the finds of the day (maximum freshness), Discord for validation (check whether others have ordered the same link and posted positive QCs).
Guide 08

Finding an item from a photo

A fit spotted on TikTok, a pair seen in a story: Lolobuy's photo search finds the product in seconds.

It's the most common situation in the niche: you spot an item in a video, nobody shares the link, and the "W2C?" question goes unanswered. Lolobuy's photo search solves that: give it an image and it finds the matching products from Taobao, Weidian and 1688 sellers using visual recognition.

The 4-step process

  1. Capture a good image. Take a screenshot at the moment the item is sharpest and most visible: front-facing, well lit, no filter. Then crop tightly around the item alone (the shoe, the hoodie), cutting out the background and the other clothes: the cleaner the image, the more accurate the results.
  2. Run the photo search on Lolobuy. In the search bar, use the photo function (the camera icon) and upload your screenshot. The engine analyzes the image and shows the closest visual matches, with photo, price and seller.
  3. Sort through the results. Visual recognition returns both very close matches and vaguely similar ones: compare the details that don't lie (exact pattern, logo placement, colorway, sole shape). Open the 2-3 best candidates and compare their prices: a huge gap between two listings of the same model often signals different batches.
  4. Check before you order. A visually identical result says nothing about quality. Run the product through the QC photos with Doppel, and apply the 2-confirmation rule from the guide Finding the best links. Only then, order as usual.
The tip that changes everything: if the video shows the item from several angles, take 2 or 3 different screenshots and run a photo search for each one. The results that come back in every search are almost always the right product.

When the photo gives you nothing

  • Image too small or blurry: look for the same item on the creator's account (another video, a photo post) to get a better source.
  • Item nowhere to be found: post the screenshot in the #w2c channel on Discord or on Telegram with your max budget: the community often identifies within minutes what the machine missed (see Finding a link on Telegram and Discord).
  • Too many similar results: narrow it down by cropping on the distinctive detail (the print, the buckle, the label) rather than the whole item.
Guide 09

Contacting a Chinese seller

When, how and in what words to message a seller: channels, ready-to-copy English messages, time zone and traps to avoid.

Most orders go through without ever talking to the seller: the agent handles everything. But some cases call for direct contact: a Yupoo album with no purchase link, a link showing ¥1 (placeholder price), a question about size or batch, a restock request. Done right, the exchange takes two messages; done wrong, it never gets a reply.

The right channel for the situation

  • Problem with an order already placed (delay, missing item, exchange): do NOT message the seller, go through the agent's support, which negotiates for you (see Contacting support).
  • Question before buying (link, price, stock, size, batch): the contact the seller lists on their Yupoo page, most often WhatsApp or WeChat. WhatsApp is the easiest to use from abroad; WeChat is the most common on the seller side, but creating an account sometimes requires verification.

The golden rules of the exchange

  1. Write in simple English. Short sentences, no slang or complicated phrasing: the seller often relies on machine translation. A picture beats a paragraph: always attach a screenshot of the item in question.
  2. Mind the time zone. China runs on Beijing time (6 to 7 hours ahead of Central Europe). Writing in the European morning lands in the seller's afternoon: you often get a reply the same day. A message sent at 11pm will wait until the next day.
  3. Be direct and polite, without over-negotiating. Asking for the price, the link or the size is normal; haggling aggressively over €2 burns the relationship with a good seller.
  4. Wait 24 hours before following up. One polite follow-up is enough; beyond that, look for another seller of the same item.

The ready-made messages that get a reply

Ready-to-copy messages
SituationMessage (to copy)
Ask for the purchase link"Hi! I found this item in your Yupoo album. [photo] Can you send me the purchase link (Weidian/Taobao)? Thank you!"
Confirm a placeholder price"Hi! The link shows ¥1. What is the real price for this item? [photo]"
Check a size"Hello! Is size 44 (EU) available for this model? [photo]"
Ask about the batch"Hi! Which batch is this? Do you have QC photos? [photo]"
Ask for a restock"Hello! This item is sold out. Will you restock it? [photo]"
The absolute red line: a seller asking for direct payment off the platform (bank transfer, crypto, PayPal "friends and family") to "avoid fees" is not a good deal, it's the classic scam pattern. Every payment goes through the agent: that is your only protection if there's a dispute (see Getting a refund).
Guide 10

Finding your size

Size guides, EU/US/UK/CN conversions, and the brand trap.

Ordering the wrong size is the most expensive mistake: a return adds 2-3 extra weeks, the fees are often on you, and some sellers refuse size exchanges. Converting between European (EU), American (US), British (UK) and Chinese (CN) systems is tricky: an EU 43 is not always a US 9.5 depending on the brand.

Size guides

Rely on size guides, usually shown on the sellers' Yupoo pages and directly on the Lolobuy links in the product description. Using that kind of guide, measure a garment you already own that fits you well, then compare the dimensions.

For shoes

There is no real way to know unless it is stated in the description (fairly rare). The best approach: ask someone who has already ordered the item whether to take your usual size or go up.

The brand trap: some brands size differently. Balenciaga, for example, runs big: you need to go down 1 to 2 sizes. The issue comes from the brand, not the seller.
Guide 11

Small sizes: GS and kids' sizes

Below EU 40, welcome to the world of GS sizes: how to read them, convert them and find them from sellers.

Below EU 40, many sneaker models don't exist in an adult version but in a GS version (grade school, the kids' and teens' range from American brands), sometimes in PS (preschool) for the smallest feet. Good news: GS pairs are often cheaper and available from the same sellers. Bad news: the sizes are written differently.

Reading a GS size

A GS size is written with a "Y" (youth): 4Y, 5.5Y, 7Y. 7Y is the largest GS size, right before adult sizes. The most common EU conversion (Nike's chart, the most widespread):

GS size conversion
GS (US Youth)EUUS Women's equivalent
3.5Y35.55
4Y365.5
4.5Y36.56
5Y37.56.5
5.5Y387
6Y38.57.5
6.5Y398
7Y408.5
The rule of thumb: US Women's size = GS size + 1.5. A 7Y matches a US Women's 8.5. And as always, the seller's size chart beats any generic table: when in doubt, ask for the insole length in cm (see Requesting extra QC photos).

What changes compared to the adult version

  • The shape. GS pairs are often a bit narrower and the sole slightly thinner: for a wide foot, go half a size up.
  • The materials. On some models, the GS version uses simpler materials (synthetic instead of leather). The QC photos show it: apply the method from the guide Analyzing QC photos.
  • The price. Often 10 to 25% cheaper than the adult version, for the same colorway.

Finding them

  1. Search with the right words. Add "GS", "youth" or "kids" to the model name in Doppel, on Weidian or in the community channels.
  2. Check the size range on the listing. A listing that stops at 40 and starts at 35.5 is a GS listing, even if the seller doesn't say so.
  3. Confirm the conversion with the seller. Sellers sometimes list GS in EU, sometimes in US Youth, sometimes both: one question beats a size exchange (see Contacting a Chinese seller).

For female creators and a female audience, the guide Finding women's items complements this one: a large share of "women's" sneakers are actually well-chosen GS pairs.

Guide 12

Finding women's items

An under-exploited niche growing fast: sources and sizing.

The women's reps niche is under-exploited but growing fast: demand is climbing for sneakers in small sizes (EU 36-40), women's-cut clothing and accessories. A creator who masters these sources positions themselves on a segment with low competition and high potential.

3 search categories

  • Unisex sneakers in small sizes (Dunk Low, Air Force 1, Asics, New Balance): same sellers as the men's sizes, you just need to select size EU 36-40.
  • Women-specific sneakers (exclusive colorways, "W" models): search for "women" or "female" in the Weidian filters and Yupoo albums.
  • Women's clothing (hoodies, joggers, crop tops): sellers offering women's cuts are fewer, but they are listed in the community guides.

The specialized sources

The Ancelotti Production women's spreadsheet (the largest database of women's reps links, thousands of reviews with QC and tested links), Discord servers with dedicated channels (#women-finds, #ladies-corner), and Yupoo sellers that have a "Women" / "Female" section.

The sizing tip: women's sizes often use the US Women system, offset by 1.5 from US Men (a US Women 8 = US Men 6.5 = EU 39). Always check the seller's EU conversion and, when in doubt, ask for the insole length in cm.
Guide 13

When to order?

The reps calendar: 4 key periods that shape delivery time and price.

Timing affects delivery time, price (seasonal coupons) and availability (some periods see massive stockouts). Getting your orders timed right = receiving faster, paying less, and never getting stuck behind a closure.

Chinese New Year (late January to mid-February): dead period

Factories, sellers, agents AND carriers close for 2 to 4 weeks. Orders placed during this time don't ship until they reopen. Strategy: order at least 3 weeks BEFORE to receive on time, or wait 2 weeks AFTER reopening (the first days are chaotic: backlog, doubled delivery times).

Sales events (11.11, 12.12, Black Friday): the best windows

More generous coupons, seller discounts, agent offers. Plan your big hauls here. 11.11 (Singles' Day) is the biggest: the Chinese equivalent of Black Friday, 10× larger.

High-demand periods (Sept-Oct, Nov-Dec)

Delivery times stretch by 3 to 5 days because of the volume. Order with 1-2 weeks of margin. This is also when your audience buys the most (back to school, Christmas): the creator needs a stock of content ready to go.

Quiet periods (January after Christmas, August)

Shorter delivery times, but a less active audience. Ideal for doing GP on new sellers, testing models and preparing content in advance.

Guide 14

Unblocking an order that stopped moving

Normal timelines for each step, and the decision tree when things drag: wait, follow up or cancel.

An order that stops moving is the number one source of stress for beginners. In the vast majority of cases, the hold-up comes from the seller, not the agent, and it gets solved with a simple follow-up. Before you worry, compare the order status with the normal timeline for each step.

Normal delays, step by step
StepNormal timelineStart worrying after
PurchasedPurchase by the agent1-3 business days4-5 business days
Shipped by sellerShipping by the seller2-7 days7-10 days
In warehouseArrival and check-in at the warehouse1-2 days after delivery3-4 days
QC uploadedQC photos online1-3 days after arrival4-5 days

The seller isn't shipping

If after 7 to 10 days there is still no domestic tracking, the most common cause is a hidden stock shortage: the seller is waiting for a restock without telling anyone. No point contacting the seller yourself: the agent made the purchase, so the agent does the chasing. Open a ticket and explicitly ask them to push the seller ("please urge the seller to ship"). If the seller doesn't respond within 48-72 hours, or announces a restock more than 2 weeks away, ask for a cancellation and buy the same item from another seller (see Finding the best links).

Cancellation or stock shortage: where the money goes

When an order is cancelled, the item amount is credited back to your Lolobuy balance, not to your original card or PayPal. The credit usually shows up within 1 to 3 business days after the cancellation is confirmed, and you can use it right away: pay for a new item or the shipping fees of the parcel in progress. To get the money out of the platform, see Getting a refund.

The QC photos aren't online after arrival

The item is marked as arrived at the warehouse but no photos show up: 1 to 3 days is normal, and up to 5 days during busy periods (11.11, Black Friday, Chinese New Year). Beyond 4-5 days, follow up with support and give them the order number. Once the photos are online, head to the Reviewing QC photos guide to decide GL or RL.

Wait, follow up or cancel: the decision tree

  1. Still within the timelines in the table? Wait, without opening a ticket: following up too early only slows down support for everyone.
  2. Timeline exceeded? Follow up once through support (see the message template in Contacting support) with 4 things: order number, current status, number of days elapsed, and a precise request ("urge the seller", "update the tracking", "upload the QC photos").
  3. Two follow-ups with no result, or a restock announced more than 2 weeks away? Cancel the stuck item, get the credit back on your balance, buy it elsewhere. An item you've been waiting 3 weeks for rarely ends up arriving any faster.
The golden rule: one item stuck with a seller should never hold up the whole parcel. Cancel it and ship the rest: thanks to the standard line's sliding price scale (about €12 for the first kilo, then about €10 per extra kilo, an estimate only, the billed weight being the higher of actual and volumetric weight, see the rehearsal guide), waiting for a 200 g item isn't worth 3 weeks of delay on the whole haul. Adding it to a future parcel will cost a few euros in shipping, not dozens.
Guide 15

Analyzing QC photos

The 8 checkpoints to go through before calling GL or RL, plus the decision matrix.

QC is the moment of truth for every order. When the product reaches the warehouse, photos are taken from different angles and posted to the dashboard. That is where you decide: GL (I accept) or RL (I refuse, exchange or refund). Analyzing a QC properly means avoiding bad products, protecting your credibility, and saving the time and money a return costs.

The 8 checkpoints (sneakers)

  • Overall shape. Look at the silhouette from the side: it has to match the retail photos. Critical points: the heel curve (neither too flat nor too rounded), the collar height, and left/right symmetry.
  • The swoosh / brand logo. Check size, symmetrical placement and identical angle on both shoes. A logo that is too big, too small or badly angled is the flaw outsiders spot most often.
  • Stitching. Even stitch length, no loose threads, symmetry between the two shoes. Uneven stitching signals poor finishing, but it is rarely visible from a distance on feet.
  • The front of the shoe (toe box). The shape must match the model: not too square, not too round, not too bulky. It is one of the most visible elements on feet.
  • Materials. Nubuck should show visible grain, leather should have the right matte or glossy look, mesh should have a regular pattern. High-resolution QC photos let you zoom in.
  • The sole. Check the color (some batches turn yellow or green), the grip texture (the pattern must match retail) and make sure there is no glue residue on the edges.
  • Labels and inside markings. Does the size shown match the order? Print quality of the label, tongue tag. Rarely visible on feet, but they matter for perceived authenticity.
  • Left vs right symmetry. Place both shoes side by side: proportions, logo placement, collar heights and swoosh angles must be identical. A clear asymmetry is grounds for RL.
The GL / RL decision matrix: a single minor flaw (loose thread, slightly uneven stitching) = GL. A flaw visible on feet (misplaced swoosh, abnormal shape, misshapen toe box) = RL. Several minor flaws combined = RL. The standard is not perfection (retail pairs have flaws too): it is the absence of any flaw visible from 1 meter away on feet.
Guide 16

QCing a garment

A hoodie isn't judged like a pair of sneakers: fabric, cut, labels and print. The eight points to check.

The Reading QC photos guide is built for sneakers. A garment is judged differently: shape matters less, while fabric, cut and finishing matter more. And above all, a garment gets worn: the real size is risk number one, well ahead of quality.

The eight checkpoints

The eight checkpoints
PointWhat to look at in the photosRL if…
1. Neck labelFont, alignment, label stitching, consistency with the modelCrooked label, obviously wrong font, stitching that gapes
2. Composition and care labelsPresent, legible, in the expected languageMissing when the model has them, or inconsistent text
3. StitchingEven stitch length, no loose threads, straight hemsWavy seams, threads everywhere, visibly uneven hem
4. Print or embroiderySharp edges, centering, relief, colorBleeding edges, off-center logo, loose embroidery
5. FabricApparent thickness, texture, transparency, look of the fleeceThin, see-through fabric on a hoodie, plastic-like texture
6. Cut and measurementsFlat measurements: chest width, total length, sleeve lengthMore than 2 to 3 cm off from the listing or from your reference garment
7. ColorCompare several photos: warehouse lighting is misleadingClearly different shade across all the photos
8. DetailsZip, buttons, drawstrings, eyelets, pocketsZip that snags, missing button, missing drawstring

The cut: ask for measurements

QC photos show the garment laid flat, never worn: they tell you nothing about the cut. The workaround: ask the agent for flat measurements (chest, length, sleeve, in cm) and compare them to a garment you own that fits you. See Asking for extra QC photos and Finding your size.

The classic traps

  • Yellowed white and washed-out black: often a lighting effect. Decide based on several photos, or ask for one in daylight.
  • Fold creases: a garment straight out of its bag is wrinkled; that is not a defect.
  • Fabric weight: impossible to measure from a photo. A serious seller states it in the listing (for example 350 g/m² for a heavy hoodie); otherwise, ask.
The two-defect rule: a stray thread or a slightly tilted label = GL. A defect visible when worn (bleeding print, wavy seams, wrong color) = RL. Two minor defects on the same garment = RL, the finishing won't survive the wash. For borderline cases, see Acceptable defects and deal-breakers.
Guide 17

Acceptable flaws vs. deal-breakers

The grid that settles it: what you let slide and what triggers an RL, item type by item type.

QC puts beginners in front of a dilemma: rejecting an item over a loose thread wastes a week for nothing; accepting a misplaced logo leaves you with an item you can't wear. This grid draws the line, item type by item type. The standard isn't perfection (retail has flaws too), it's no flaw visible from one metre away, when worn.

The grid

Acceptable or deal-breaker, item by item
ItemAcceptable (GL)Deal-breaker (RL)
SneakersLoose thread, tiny trace of glue on the edge of the sole, slight asymmetry in the inner stitching, damaged box, new-shoe smellDeformed shape, logo misplaced or crooked, asymmetrical pair (heights, angles), sole coming unglued, wrong size, clearly different colour, visible stain or scratch
ClothingThreads, fold crease, slightly tilted label, micro-irregularity in the stitchingSmudged or off-centre print, hole or snag, measurements out of tolerance (more than 2-3 cm), wrong size, stain, faulty zip or button, see-through fabric
Accessories (bags, belts, sunglasses, jewellery)Microscopic scratch on the metal, slight storage mark on the leatherBlurry engraved logo, clasp or buckle that doesn't hold, open seam, scratched lens, flaking plating

The decision matrix

  • One single minor flaw → GL.
  • One flaw visible when worn → RL, no hesitation.
  • Several minor flaws on the same item → RL: the overall finish is poor.
  • A doubt about one specific point → don't decide: ask for a detail photo (see Asking for extra QC photos). A back-and-forth costs a day; a bad GL costs the item.

What the RL must contain

An RL without an explanation gets handled slowly. A good RL: the flaw circled on the QC photo, one sentence in English ("logo misaligned, see circle"), and the outcome you're asking for: exchange ("exchange for a good pair") or refund ("refund"). What happens next is covered in the guide Getting a refund.

The question that settles everything: "Would I notice it on someone else, in the street, without looking for it?" If yes, RL. If you have to zoom in to find it, GL.
Guide 18

Asking your agent for extra QC photos

When the standard QC isn't enough: how to get a close-up, a measurement or a photo of the tags, in a single message.

The standard QC is a set of generic photos taken quickly at the warehouse: an overall view, a few angles, rarely the detail you're worried about. Every agent lets you request extra photos of an item that has reached the warehouse. It's free or nearly free with most of them, and it's often what separates a good GL from a bad one.

When to ask for it

  • A doubt about one specific point: logo, stitching, sole, inside tag.
  • A sizing question: the insole length (sneakers) or the flat measurements (clothing) are the only reliable information.
  • A colour you can't judge under the warehouse lighting.
  • An expensive item, where a return would cost more than 48 hours of waiting.

The process

  1. Open the item in the dashboard (Warehouse tab or the order itself, see Understanding the Lolobuy dashboard) and use the request feature attached to the item: depending on the version, it's called "request more photos", "additional QC" or goes through a message linked to the order.
  2. Write a single, precise request, in English. List everything that needs to be photographed or measured: every back-and-forth costs a working day.
  3. Wait 24 to 48 hours. The photos land in the same item page, with a notification.
  4. Decide using the grid in the guide Acceptable flaws and deal-breakers.

Ready-to-copy requests

Messages to send to the agent

Colour"Please take one photo near a window, in daylight, without flash."
Everything in one message: a request for five photos takes the same processing time as a request for one. Five separate requests take five days. If the item is a garment, follow the guide QC'ing a garment to know exactly what to ask for.
Guide 19

Seeing the quality before you buy: Doppel

The "TripAdvisor of reps": read the reviews before you order.

Ordering with no idea of the quality is a gamble. Doppel and similar community tools let you assess the likely quality BEFORE you order, by aggregating the QC, reviews and feedback from other buyers of the same product from the same seller. It's the "TripAdvisor of reps": you read the reviews before you book.

The Doppel process

Enter the product link or its name → the tool shows the QC posted by other buyers for that link or that seller. If 5-10 positive QC exist on the same link, the quality is pre-validated and the risk is minimal. If there are only 1-2 QC, the quality is likely but not guaranteed: look at the photos carefully.

Alternatives to Doppel

  • Post the link in #qc-checks or #legit-check on Discord: "Someone ordered from this seller? Any QC?".
  • Search for the link's itemID number in community channels (Discord, Telegram): feedback often mentions the purchase link.
  • Search the Yupoo seller's name on YouTube: creators post video reviews with the links in the description.
Rule of caution: if zero QC exist and the price looks too good (an Asics NYC at ¥89 when the average is ¥250), it's probably a "bait and switch": the seller shows nice photos but ships a budget product.
Guide 20

Using Doppel step by step

The how-to for the community's QC search engine: find a product, read its page, judge the batch and leave with the right link.

The guide See the quality before you buy explains why you should check QC before ordering. This one shows how to actually do it on doppel.fit, the community's go-to tool: a free database of real QC photos, taken by agents at the warehouse, covering Taobao, Weidian and 1688 products.

The 5-step process

  1. Open Doppel and search for the product. In the search bar, type the model name in English ("Jordan 4 Military Black", "Arc Jacket"): that's the language of the database. The filters also let you browse by brand, by category or by source platform (Taobao, Weidian, 1688).
  2. Compare the results. The same model often shows up in several versions, at different prices: these are different sellers (and sometimes different batches). Open the 2 or 3 most relevant pages rather than just the first one.
  3. Read the product page. It brings together the price, the seller and above all the QC photos posted for this product: real photos of items received by other buyers, not marketing visuals.
  4. Judge the quality on SEVERAL QC. Apply the method from the guide Analyzing QC (shape, logo, stitching, materials) on at least 3 sets of photos. What you're looking for is consistency: if all the QC look alike and are clean, the batch is consistent; if the quality varies from one QC to the next, it's a lottery.
  5. Leave with the right link. From the product page, grab the product link. If it's in the format of another platform or another agent, convert it for Lolobuy using the method from the guide Converting a link, then follow the usual ordering process.
The Doppel reflex: several recent, consistent QC = quality pre-validated, you can order with peace of mind. Only one or two QC = likely but not guaranteed, look closely. Zero QC = you would be the GP: apply the 2-confirmation rule from the guide Finding the best links before paying.

The community's good habits

  • Check how recent the QC are. A batch can change: photos from a year ago don't guarantee the current production. Favor recent QC.
  • Cross-check when in doubt. If the QC on Doppel aren't enough to decide, ask the question in the community Discord with the link.
  • Compare the sellers of the same model. That's the strength of the tool: the side-by-side pages let you spot in a few minutes which seller makes the best version, and at what price.
  • The interface evolves. The site is regularly updated and some features (favorites, lists) may, depending on the version, require a free account; browsing products and QC, however, is open to everyone.
Guide 21

Comparing batches before you buy

Same model, several factories, prices that double from one to the next: the method for picking the right version.

A batch is a version of a model produced by a given factory. The same model often exists in three or four batches, sold by different sellers, at prices that can double from one to the next. Picking the right batch is the skill that separates the experienced buyer from the beginner who grabs the first link they see.

The method in five steps

  1. List the available batches. For the model you want, note the different listings on Doppel (a different seller often means a different batch), plus the W2C discussions on Discord and Telegram. Write down the seller and the price for each.
  2. Gather at least three QCs per batch. Photos from different buyers, recent ones preferably: a batch can change from one production run to the next.
  3. Score each batch on five criteria using the grid below, with the help of the Analysing QCs guide.
  4. Work out the value for money. A batch that costs ¥100 more is worth it if it wins on what shows on feet (shape, colour, logo). Not if it only wins on interior details.
  5. Decide, then check the actual QC. The comparison picks the batch; the QC of your own pair still needs to be checked with the same rigour.

The scoring grid (1 to 5 per criterion)

The comparison criteria
CriterionWhat you compareWeight in the decision
ShapeSide profile, heel curve, collar height, toe boxThe most important: visible from far away
MaterialsLeather or nubuck grain, look of the mesh, suede textureHigh
ColourShade of each panel, white of the soles, consistency between photosHigh
Logo and detailsPlacement, size, angle, tags, markingsMedium
ConsistencyDo all the QCs look alike, or does quality vary from one pair to the next?High: an inconsistent batch is a lottery

The traps

  • Flattering photos: sellers pick their best pairs for their own photos. Only compare QCs from buyers.
  • The renamed batch: a seller can present an old batch under a new name. Compare the photos, not the names.
  • Outdated opinions: "the best batch" from two years ago may have switched factories. Favour QCs from the last few months.
  • Price as proof: more expensive does not mean better. Only the QCs can tell you.
When paying more is worth it: when the difference shows on feet (shape, colour, visible material). When it only shows under a magnifying glass (inside tag, hidden stitching), the cheaper batch is the right choice, and the difference pays for shipping.
Guide 22

Doing a rehearsal (paying less shipping)

Weigh the parcel before it ships: €2 invested, €5 to €20 saved.

Rehearsal packaging is a paid service from the agent: packing, weighing and measuring the parcel BEFORE shipping, to get an accurate shipping quote. It is one of the features beginners use the least, and yet the one with the best return. Cost: €1 to €3. Savings: €5 to €20 per haul. That is 5 to 10 times your stake.

Why it's essential

Without a rehearsal, the agent estimates the weight from the product listings: a weight that is consistently 15 to 30% above the real one, because listings count the box, the packaging, the tags. When you ask for "simple packaging" (removing boxes, tags, cardboard), the real weight drops, but without a rehearsal, the agent still bills you on the original weight. So you pay shipping on phantom kilos.

The rehearsal fixes that: the agent packs according to your instructions, weighs on a calibrated scale, measures for the volumetric weight, and gives a quote based on the real weight. You then compare each shipping line and pick the best deal.

The step-by-step process

  1. Wait until ALL your items have arrived at the warehouse. A rehearsal can only be done with products physically in stock. If 3 items out of 5 have arrived, wait for the other 2, otherwise you will have to do it again.
  2. Select the items. In the dashboard, "Warehouse" / "My parcels" section, tick each item then click "Rehearsal shipping", "Estimate shipping" or "Pre-pack" (the wording varies, the service is the same).
  3. Specify the packing instructions. "Remove shoe boxes. Remove tags. Remove inner cardboard. Vacuum pack clothes. Wrap shoes in bubble wrap only. Simple packaging." The more precise your instructions, the more the weight is optimised and the bigger the savings.
  4. Pay the fee (€1-3). The agent processes it within 24 to 48 hours: packs, weighs, measures, updates the dashboard.
  5. Check the quote: real weight (grams), volumetric weight (based on dimensions), and the rates of each line on the billable weight (the higher of real and volumetric). Compare E-EMS, EMS, PD-EUB, DHL.
  6. Confirm shipping. Example: quote without rehearsal €45 (estimated weight), quote after rehearsal €28 (real weight). €17 saved for €2 invested.

When to do one (and when to skip it)

Recommended on any haul of 3+ items or 2 kg+: the savings easily justify the cost and the 24-48 hours. Pointless on 1-2 light items (a t-shirt, a cap): the gain is too small (€1-3).

The common mistake: starting a rehearsal without specifying instructions. Without "remove shoe boxes" / "simple packaging", the agent packs with the original boxes, and the measured weight will be identical to the estimated weight. The rehearsal is only worth it if the optimisation instructions are applied.
Guide 23

Cutting your parcel weight and shipping cost

Pick the right line: PD-EUB, E-EMS, EMS, DHL, SAL.

Choosing your shipping line is one of the decisions with the biggest impact on cost and delivery time. Each line has its pros, its cons and its own customs risk profile. Pick the wrong one and it can cost you €10-20 more or add 1-2 weeks.

The Lolobuy estimate grid

1 kg€11.99
2 kg€22.29
3 kg€32.08
4 kg€41.87
5 kg€51.66
6 kg€61.45
7 kg€71.24
8 kg€80.62
9 kg€89.84
10 kg€99.05

Rule of thumb: about €12 for the first kilo, then €10 per extra kilo (and slightly less beyond 7 kg). This is an estimate on the standard line: the billed weight is whichever is higher between actual weight and volumetric weight, which is exactly why the rehearsal matters.

The shipping lines
LineDelivery timePriceNotes
PD-EUB15-25 daysThe cheapest50-60% cheaper than EMS but the slowest. Capped at 2 kg. Ideal for 1-2 light items. Basic tracking.
E-EMS10-18 daysMid-rangeThe sweet spot for most hauls: the best balance of quality, price and delivery time, full tracking, no weight limit.
EMS8-15 days+15-20% vs E-EMSSimilar to E-EMS but a little faster and pricier. Excellent tracking, high reliability.
DHL / FedEx7-14 days2 to 3x EMSExpress. Higher customs risk (their own clearance process is stricter). For urgent or very high-value orders. The default recommended line for Ancelotti Production creators.
SAL25-45 daysBudgetVery slow. Not recommended unless you have a large, non-urgent volume.

The quick decision rule

  • Small parcel (<2 kg, 1-2 items) → PD-EUB if you are not in a hurry, E-EMS if you need it within 2 weeks.
  • Medium haul (2-5 kg, 3-6 items) → E-EMS, every time.
  • Big haul (5 kg+) → E-EMS or EMS, and consider splitting into 2 parcels of 3-4 kg to reduce the customs risk.
Guide 24

Choosing your packaging

Boxes removed, vacuum packing, bubble wrap: each option changes the weight, the price and the risk. The right setup for every haul.

When it is time to ship, the agent asks how you want things packed. Most beginners leave the default settings and pay shipping on an empty cardboard box. Each option has a precise effect on the billed weight, so on the price (see the rate grid in Cutting shipping weight and cost), and on the risk of damage.

The options and their effects

The options and their effects
OptionEffect on weightEffect on riskRecommendation
Remove shoe boxesBig drop: a box often weighs 300 to 400 g, which is €3 to 4 of shipping per pairSlight: the pairs travel in a bagYes, unless you really want the box
Remove tags and inner cardboardModerate dropNoneYes
Vacuum pack clothesVolume divided by two or three: lower volumetric weightHeavy creasing, reversible with a washYes for hoodies, joggers, puffer jackets; no for structured pieces
Bubble wrapSlight increaseBig drop for fragile itemsYes for glasses, jewelry, perfumes, rigid items
Simple packagingThe minimumMedium: a thin cardboard boxThe right default for clothes and sneakers

Volumetric weight, the invisible enemy

Carriers bill whichever is higher between the actual weight and the volumetric weight, calculated from the parcel's dimensions (often length × width × height in cm, divided by 5000 or 6000 depending on the line). A light but bulky parcel (uncompressed puffer jackets, boxes) is billed like a heavy one. Vacuum packing and removing the boxes act precisely on that.

The instructions to write

In the shipping remarks field (or the rehearsal one), in English, one line per instruction: "Remove shoe boxes. Remove tags and inner cardboard. Vacuum pack all clothes. Wrap glasses in bubble wrap. Simple packaging." The more precise you are, the lower the measured weight.

The standard setup: boxes removed, tags removed, clothes vacuum packed, bubble wrap only on fragile items, simple packaging. On an average three-item haul, that is often 1 to 1.5 kg less, so €10 to 15 of shipping saved according to the grid. And when you want to keep a box (gift, collection), accept it knowingly: it is the price of a kilo.
Guide 25

Combining your orders into one parcel

One parcel instead of three: the warehouse's free storage and the price grid that rewards consolidation.

Every parcel shipped from China pays "full price" on its first kilo. Combining all your orders into a single shipment, rather than shipping as you go, is therefore the simplest money-saving reflex there is: no complicated manipulation, just a little patience, and shipping costs that drop automatically.

The warehouse's free storage

When an item arrives at the agent's warehouse, it is stored for free for a limited time: the date is shown item by item in the dashboard. That storage is what makes consolidation possible. You can order from 5 different sellers over 3 weeks, let the items pile up at the warehouse, and pay for a single shipment at the end. Just keep an eye on each item's deadline: beyond it, storage fees may apply.

The steps in the dashboard

  1. Wait until EVERYTHING has arrived. A parcel should only be submitted once every item is physically in the warehouse and every QC has been approved (see Analyzing QC photos). Submitting too early means condemning yourself to a second parcel, and therefore a second "first kilo" at €11.99.
  2. Select the items. In the "Warehouse" / "My parcels" section of the dashboard: tick all the items to combine, then click "Submit parcel" (or "Ship").
  3. Optimize before confirming. On a haul of 3 items or more, run a rehearsal first with precise packing instructions: the weight drops, and so does the quote.

What consolidation saves you

Here is the estimate grid for the standard Lolobuy line. One important note: this is an estimate grid, the billed weight is the higher of the actual weight and the volumetric weight (see the rehearsal guide).

Lolobuy shipping grid, standard line (estimate)
WeightEstimated pricePrice per kilo
1 kg€11.99€11.99/kg
2 kg€22.29€11.15/kg
3 kg€32.08€10.69/kg
4 kg€41.87€10.47/kg
5 kg€51.66€10.33/kg
6 kg€61.45€10.24/kg
7 kg€71.24€10.18/kg
8 kg€80.62€10.08/kg
9 kg€89.84€9.98/kg
10 kg€99.05€9.91/kg

It reads simply: the first kilo is the most expensive (€11.99), each extra kilo costs about €9.80, and even about €9.20 beyond 7 kg. Two concrete examples:

  • Consolidating pays off: 3 parcels of 1 kg = €35.97, versus €32.08 for 1 parcel of 3 kg. Same contents, €3.89 less, and one pass through customs instead of three.
  • Splitting a big haul costs little: 10 kg in one parcel = €99.05, in 2 parcels of 5 kg = €103.32, only €4.27 more. Playing it safe with customs on big hauls costs almost nothing (see Reducing the weight and cost of shipping).
The rule of thumb: about €12 for the first kilo, about €10 per extra kilo. Every parcel you avoid is a "first kilo" saved. One big shipment always beats several small ones.

The group haul with friends

Consolidation also works as a group, and that is where it becomes really worthwhile. The clean method: one account places all the orders, a shared spreadsheet (Google Sheets) lists who takes what and at what price, everyone pays their share BEFORE the order goes out, and shipping costs are split in proportion to each person's weight. Whoever puts 2 kg in a 5 kg parcel pays 2/5 of the shipping, not half.

Keeping it clean

Consolidating changes nothing about the rules: the parcel's declared value stays the real value of its contents. If a tax lands on arrival, it is split between friends like the shipping, in proportion. That is what avoids drama and keeps the group haul enjoyable.

When NOT to consolidate

  • An urgent item: if a piece needs to arrive fast (an event, a photoshoot), ship it on its own rather than waiting for the rest of the haul.
  • Going over the line's limits: some lines have weight limits (PD-EUB is capped at 2 kg, for example). Beyond that, it is better to split into 2 balanced parcels: as seen above, the extra cost is minimal.
Guide 26

Tracking your parcel

The 5 stages of the China to France journey and the right tracking tools.

Once the package has left the agent's warehouse, tracking lets you know where it is and anticipate delivery. The journey goes through 5 stages, each with its own tracking status.

  1. Picked up by the Chinese carrier (day 0 to day 2). The package is collected and handed over to the international carrier (EMS, E-EMS, DHL, etc.). Tracking: "Shipment information received" or "Picked up". Still in China.
  2. In international transit (day 2 to day 7). The package leaves China. Tracking can stay stuck on "In transit" for several days: that is normal (air transit plus export customs). Do not panic if nothing moves for 3-5 days.
  3. Arrival in the destination country (day 7 to day 12). The package arrives in Europe (often through a hub in Germany) and enters customs. Tracking: "Arrived at destination country" or "Customs clearance processing". In 98% of cases, the package goes through without any problem if the declared value is correct. Clearance takes anywhere from a few hours to 2-3 days.
  4. Handed over to the local carrier (day 12 to day 14). The package has cleared customs and is handed over to La Poste or the local carrier (DHL, FedEx, Chronopost). Tracking: "Out for delivery".
  5. Delivered (day 10 to day 20 depending on the line). Delivered to your home or a pickup point. Always check on receipt: condition of the packaging, consistent weight, correct contents.
The right tools: use 17track.net or La Poste tracking rather than the carrier's website alone: these aggregators compile the info from every carrier in the chain (Chinese + international + local) into one unified view.
Guide 27

Pickup points & rescheduling delivery

Redirect a parcel or pick another day, with La Poste, DHL or FedEx.

Once the parcel has arrived in France and been handed to La Poste (EMS/E-EMS lines), tracking is on laposte.fr or the La Poste app with the tracking number. If you won't be home, you can redirect it to a pickup point.

Redirect to a pickup point

  1. Enter the tracking number on laposte.fr or the La Poste app.
  2. Select "Modifier ma livraison" (change my delivery) or "Choisir un autre lieu de livraison" (choose another delivery location).
  3. Choose "Livraison en point relais" (pickup point delivery).
  4. Select the nearest pickup point (post office, parcel shop, locker).

The change is free and must be made before the first delivery attempt. After a failed attempt, the parcel is held at the nearest post office for 15 days: collect it with an ID. For DHL/FedEx, redirection is done through their app/site (dhl.fr, fedex.com): enter the tracking number, change the delivery, choose a pickup point or a locker.

Reschedule the date

On laposte.fr and the La Poste app, "Reprogrammer la livraison" (reschedule delivery) lets you pick another day within the next 5 days, available only BEFORE the first attempt. For Chronopost/DHL Express, rescheduling goes through the SMS you receive with the modification link.

Tracking down a lost or damaged parcel

Parcel stuck, marked "delivered" but nowhere to be found, or damaged: the method for building a claim that actually gets results.

A parcel that stops moving on 17track is not necessarily lost: 3 to 5 day pauses in transit are normal (see Tracking your parcel). But past a certain point with NO movement at all, you need to stop waiting and open a claim. A well-built claim, with the right documents at the right time, has a real chance of succeeding. A sloppy one, almost none.

When to consider the parcel lost

No movement: when to react
LineNo movement at all forAction
DHL / FedEx10-15 daysContact support: on an express line, this silence is already abnormal.
EMS / E-EMS30 daysOpen a claim with Lolobuy.
Standard / economy line45 to 60 daysOpen a claim. Past 60 days, stop waiting altogether.

Opening the claim with Lolobuy

  1. Open a ticket linked to the order in the dashboard (the best channel for documented claims, see Contacting support).
  2. Attach the documents: order number, tracking number, a dated 17track screenshot showing the last status, and a screenshot of the shipping payment summary.
  3. Send a factual message. Example: "Hello, my parcel (tracking LX123456789CN) has had no movement since June 12. Could you please open an investigation with the shipping line? Screenshots attached. Thank you."
  4. Let the investigation run its course. The agent queries the shipping line: expect several weeks. If the loss is confirmed, the insurance included in the shipping fee covers the parcel's declared value. Which is why a correct declared value matters from the very start.

In parallel: the claim with the local carrier

If the parcel was handed over to your national postal service (last status in your country), also file a claim on its website with the tracking number: the form is online, the reply comes within 2 to 3 weeks and compensation according to a set scale is possible. For DHL/FedEx, go through their customer service with the tracking number. The two procedures are not mutually exclusive: run them at the same time.

Parcel "delivered" but never received

First, check everything: mailbox, neighbours, building caretaker, and the local pickup point (parcels are sometimes dropped there without notification). If nothing turns up, ask the postal service for a carrier investigation (the driver must state where the parcel was handed over) and fill in the sworn statement of non-receipt you will be asked for. Then forward these elements in the Lolobuy ticket.

Parcel damaged on arrival

Photograph the parcel from every angle BEFORE opening it. If it is handed to you in person or at a pickup point, note your reservations in writing at the moment of receipt. Then report the damage to Lolobuy within 48 hours with photos of the packaging and the affected items: the process then follows the Getting a refund guide.

Putting a figure on the loss: in a claim, the loss = value of the items + shipping fees paid. Lolobuy's estimate grid lets you work out the shipping cost to the cent (e.g. a 3 kg parcel = €32.08). Careful: this is the estimate grid for the standard line, and the billed weight is the higher of actual weight and volumetric weight (see Doing a rehearsal). Hence the rule: always keep the screenshot of the shipping payment summary, that is what counts as proof.

The mistakes that kill a claim

  • Throwing away the packaging. No packaging, no proof of damage: keep everything until the claim is closed.
  • Waiting 3 months. Carriers and insurers close claims after a certain period: act as soon as you hit the thresholds in the table above.
  • Aggressive messages. A factual, polite ticket moves forward, a threatening one stalls (see Contacting support).
  • Opening multiple tickets. One single claim, built up as the replies come in: several parallel tickets dilute the history and slow everything down.
Guide 29

The agent's parcel insurance

What it really covers, what it doesn't, and when it's worth the price.

When you pay for shipping, the agent usually offers optional insurance, charged as a percentage of the declared value (often around 1 to 3%). Some lines include basic coverage. The exact terms are in the dashboard at the time of shipping: they vary by agent and by line, and that's where you need to read them.

What it covers, in general

  • Loss in transit: a parcel never delivered after the claim period (see Tracking down a lost or damaged parcel).
  • Transport damage: crushed box, broken item, provided you document it on delivery with photos.

What it doesn't cover, in general

  • Quality problems: that's the job of the QC and the RL before shipping, not of the insurance.
  • Delays: a slow parcel is not a lost parcel.
  • Customs seizures: most agent insurance policies explicitly exclude them. A seized parcel is a lost parcel for the buyer, insurance or not.
  • Address errors: an incomplete address is the buyer's responsibility.

When it's worth the price

To insure or not, depending on the situation
SituationInsurance
Small haul, cheap items, reliable line with trackingPointless: the premium exceeds the real risk
High-value haul (several pairs, expensive items)Yes: 2% of €300 = €6 to sleep easy
Fragile items (glasses, perfumes, watches)Yes, with bubble wrap (see Choosing your packaging)
Slow economy line, basic trackingYes: the risk of loss is higher
First order with a new agentYes, until you know how reliable they are

Making a claim

Keep a screenshot of the shipping summary (declared value, premium paid, line), photograph the parcel on delivery before opening it, and report the claim to the agent within the stated deadlines with all the evidence. Compensation is based on the declared value, never more.

The logical consequence: insurance reimburses the declared value. Declaring a value lower than the real one means insuring yourself for less than what you own, on top of being prohibited. The true declared value protects you twice: at customs and in case of loss.

Getting delivered to Belgium, Switzerland or Canada

Lines, delivery times, taxes and specifics for the French-speaking audience outside France.

The guides in this library are written for France, but part of the community orders from Belgium, Switzerland or Canada. The steps are the same (agent, QC, shipping); what changes is customs, the final carrier and the delivery times. Tax rules evolve: check the thresholds at the time you order.

The comparison table

Country by country
CountryRecommended linesIndicative delivery timeTaxes to expectFinal carrier
Belgium (EU)The same lines as for France (E-EMS, EMS; PD-EUB for light parcels)10 to 20 daysImport VAT from the first euro (EU rule since 2021), customs duties above €150; bpost handling feesbpost (or DHL/FedEx depending on the line)
Switzerland (outside the EU)Lines serving Switzerland (check the agent's list: not all of them do); prefer a postal line12 to 25 daysSwiss import VAT (8.1%) with an exemption if the tax amount is under 5 CHF; carrier customs clearance fees, often high with express carriersSwiss Post (or DHL/FedEx)
CanadaPostal lines (EMS) rather than express: express brokerage fees are known to be high15 to 30 daysDuties and taxes (GST/HST and provincial tax) above a very low threshold for postal shipments (20 CAD); carrier handling feesCanada Post (or UPS/FedEx/DHL)

The practical specifics

  • The address. Always include the phone number with the country code (+32, +41, +1): that is what delivery notices rely on. In Canada, the postal code in the "A1A 1A1" format; in Switzerland, the 4-digit postal code before the city.
  • The declared value. The real one, everywhere. Swiss and Canadian customs check more than French customs do, and a false declaration blocks the parcel and voids the insurance.
  • Tracking. 17track remains the unified tool (see Tracking your parcel); the final carrier has its own tracking (bpost, Swiss Post, Canada Post) for pickup points or rescheduling.
  • The tax on arrival. It is paid online on the carrier's notice, before delivery. Budget for it (see Planning the real cost of your order): in Switzerland and Canada, it is almost systematic.
  • Unavailable lines. Some economy lines are reserved for the EU. If Switzerland or Canada does not appear in the list at shipping time, change the line, not the address.
The rule for outside the EU: plan from the start for 10 to 15% more than the France total (tax + customs clearance fees), choose a postal line, and group your orders (see Grouping your orders): fixed customs clearance fees are paid per parcel, not per item.
Guide 31

Budgeting the real cost of your order

The price shown in yuan is only 60 to 70% of the final bill. The full formula, the shipping rate table and three sample budgets with real numbers.

The most common beginner mistake: spending your whole budget on products, then discovering that international shipping still has to be paid and getting stuck for three weeks. The price shown on a link only represents 60 to 70% of the final bill. This guide gives you the full formula so you are never caught off guard.

The full formula

Total cost = product price + service fee + international shipping + possible tax.

  • The product price. Shown in yuan (¥) on the links, converted to euros by Lolobuy. Rough order of magnitude: ¥100 is about €12 to 13 (the rate varies slightly).
  • The agent's service fee. Around 5 to 10% of the product price, included in the first payment (the domestic purchase, see Ordering on Lolobuy).
  • International shipping. Paid LATER, once the items have arrived at the warehouse and their real weight is known. This is the line everyone forgets.
  • The possible tax. An import tax may be added on arrival depending on the case: treat it as a risk covered by your safety reserve.

The Lolobuy shipping rate table (standard line, estimate)

1 kg€11.99
2 kg€22.29
3 kg€32.08
4 kg€41.87
5 kg€51.66
6 kg€61.45
7 kg€71.24
8 kg€80.62
9 kg€89.84
10 kg€99.05
The rule of thumb: about €12 for the first kilo, then about €10 per additional kilo. And always keep 15 to 20% of your budget in reserve for shipping and surprises: that reserve is what keeps you from getting stuck at the shipping stage.

Three sample budgets, line by line

Three typical budgets
BudgetTypical contentsProductsService (~8%)Shipping (table)Estimated total
~€802 light items (t-shirt, cap), ~1 kg€55€4.50€11.99~€72 + reserve
~€1501 pair + 2 clothing items, ~3 kg€100€8€32.08~€140 + reserve
~€2502 pairs + 3-4 clothing items, ~5 kg€175€14€51.66~€241 + reserve

These weights assume optimized packaging (boxes removed, see the rehearsal). The bigger the haul, the more each kilo pays off: that is the whole point of grouping your orders. And before paying, always check whether there is a coupon to apply.

Tracking your real cost

After each order, write down four numbers in a corner of a spreadsheet: products, service, shipping, total. Then divide by item: after 2 or 3 orders, you know your real cost per type of item (a delivered pair costs you €X, a hoodie €Y). That is the basis for budgeting your next hauls without doing any math, and for answering on the spot when your audience asks "how much does it come to all in?".

The 10 levers to pay less for your haul

The ultimate recap: ten savings ranked by impact, plus three false good ideas.

Each guide in this library contains one or two savings. This recap brings them together, ranked by real impact on the bill of a typical haul (€150), so you can apply them in the right order.

The ten levers, from the simplest to the most technical
#LeverTypical savingThe guide
1Group your orders into a single parcel€10 to 25 per haul: each extra kilo costs ~€10 versus €12 for the firstGroup your orders
2Remove the boxes and vacuum-pack€10 to 15: 1 to 1.5 kg lessChoose your packaging
3Do a rehearsal before paying for shipping€5 to 20: the real weight instead of the estimated weightDo a rehearsal
4Choose the right line€5 to 15: PD-EUB for light, non-urgent parcels, E-EMS for the restReduce weight and cost
5Stack coupons (ANCELOTTI referral, seasonal, loyalty)5 to 20%Get the coupons
6Order at the right time (11.11, 12.12, Black Friday)10 to 30% on productsWhen to order
7Pick the right batch the first timeAvoids an RL, an exchange, three weeks and sometimes return shippingCompare batches
8Use your balance and points before every order2 to 5%Withdraw your balance
9Share a haul with friendsShipping split two or three waysGroup your orders
10Avoid currency conversion fees (pay in euros, card with no foreign fees)1 to 3%Plan the real cost

The three false good ideas

  • Under-declaring the value. Forbidden, and counterproductive: the declared value is what insurance reimburses, and a false declaration gets the parcel stuck at customs. The supposed saving turns into a total loss.
  • Taking the cheapest line for everything. Economy lines have weight limits, basic tracking and 25 to 45 day delivery times: for a big haul or a fragile item, the risk outweighs the saving.
  • Skipping the QC step to save time. An item approved without looking is the only case where a refund becomes impossible. Two minutes of QC are worth more than any coupon.
The order to apply them: before ordering, levers 6, 7 and 5 (timing, batch, coupons). When shipping, levers 1, 2, 3 and 4 (group, pack, weigh, choose the line). A well-tuned €150 haul commonly costs €25 to 40 less than the same haul "by default".
Guide 33

Getting discount coupons

6 coupon sources plus the stacking technique (up to 35% off).

Coupons are a saving lever most buyers ignore, simply because they don't know where to look. Added up over a year, they represent €100 to €300 in savings, the equivalent of 3 to 8 free pairs. The creator who masters them saves money, and can share them with their audience as a conversion lever.

The 6 coupon sources

  • The creator referral code. Every Ancelotti Production affiliated creator has a unique code: a discount for the new customer (typically 5-10% on the first order or on shipping) + a validated activation for the creator. The most accessible coupon: just put it in your videos, your spreadsheet, your Telegram. The creator is paid by the agency for each validated activation (a sign-up with their code, followed by a first order). Your code:ANCELOTTI (direct sign-up link).
  • The agent's seasonal events. 11.11 (Singles' Day, 15-30% coupons), 12.12, Black Friday, Chinese New Year, the platform's anniversary. These coupons show up in the dashboard (banner or pop-up): check them before every order during these periods.
  • The loyalty / points program. Most agents credit points on every order, convertible into coupons. The regular creator accumulates them effortlessly: convert your points before every new order instead of letting them sit idle.
  • The agent's social media. Follow Lolobuy on Instagram, X, Telegram, Discord: exclusive codes are shared there (1 to 3 per month, often valid for 48-72 hours). Turn on notifications so you don't miss them.
  • The first-order coupon. A welcome coupon for new sign-ups (5-15% or a fixed €3-5), in the dashboard or the welcome email. Check it before your first order: it often expires after 30 days.
  • The win-back coupon after inactivity. With no order for 30-60 days, some agents send a reactivation coupon (10-20%). Not something to trigger on purpose (inactivity hurts your consistency), but good to know if you come back.
The stacking technique: some agents let you combine several coupons. Optimal stacking: referral code (on the product) + seasonal coupon (on shipping) + loyalty points (on the total), up to 25-35% off. Always check the conditions (some coupons are exclusive). Test at checkout: if both codes go through, they stack.
Guide 34

Getting a refund

Before or after shipping: the right process, plus 3 rules to get it done.

A refund is a right built into the agent buying process. Two situations trigger it: an RL after QC, or a product issue (wrong size, different item, major flaw not visible on the QC photos). The process depends on the timing.

Before shipping (the easiest)

If the item is still in the warehouse: in the Lolobuy dashboard, click "Return/Refund" on the order, pick the reason (quality issue, wrong item, wrong size), confirm. The agent sends the item back to the seller. The refund lands in your Lolobuy balance within 3 to 7 business days once the return is confirmed. Some sellers refuse returns: the agent then negotiates for you. Success rate with reputable sellers: 85-95%.

After shipping (more complex)

If the item has already left and a problem shows up on delivery (flaw not visible on the QC photos, wrong size, shipping damage), contact Lolobuy support with photos. The agent opens a claim with the seller and/or the carrier. Timeline: 7 to 21 days, refund not guaranteed (depends on the seller and the issue). International shipping costs are generally not refunded.

The 3 rules to maximize your chances:
1. Request the refund within 48 hours of receiving the QC photos or the item: the longer you wait, the lower your chances.
2. Provide clear, annotated photos (circle the flaw, compare with a retail photo).
3. Stay polite and factual: aggression gets you nothing and slows the process down.
Guide 35

Withdrawing your balance & your commissions

How to get your agent balance back and collect your affiliate commissions.

Withdrawing your agent balance

If you have a positive balance (refund, unused top-up, overpayment on estimated shipping fees), you have two options: use it on your next order (recommended, zero fees), or withdraw it. The process: dashboard → "Balance" / "Wallet" → "Withdraw" → enter the amount → choose PayPal (the fastest, 3-5 days) or bank transfer (5-7 days). Some agents charge a 1-3% withdrawal fee: always check first. If the balance is small (<€10), you are better off keeping it for your next order.

Collecting your affiliate commissions

Commissions are the revenue generated by your activations. An Ancelotti Production creator, for their part, is paid by the agency for each validated activation: they check every month that the number of activations in their dashboard matches what the agency records (monthly cross-check).

Guide 36

Seeing your activations & invitations

Run your affiliate dashboard: metrics, thresholds, routine.

For an affiliate creator, tracking your activations in real time matters as much as posting: without visibility on performance, there is no way to know which content converts. The affiliate dashboard is your control panel.

Opening the dashboard

Log in to Lolobuy → account menu (profile icon at the top right) → "Affiliate" or "Referral Program" section, depending on the interface. The dashboard shows:

  • The total number of activations for the month (every time a user clicks your affiliate link AND completes a paid order).
  • The day-by-day breakdown (chart or table): spot the spikes, usually linked to a video that performed the day before.
  • The commissions generated, split by status: "pending" (order placed, not shipped yet), "confirmed" (validated), "paid" (paid out).
  • The number of invitations: the people who signed up with your affiliate link.

The metrics to watch

Your link conversion rate (activations ÷ clicks) is the most actionable indicator:

  • Above 5% = excellent (CTA, Linkthree and spreadsheet well optimized).
  • Between 2 and 5% = decent (room for improvement on the Linkthree or the spreadsheet).
  • Below 2% = problem (people click but do not order: rework the Linkthree, the spreadsheet, or the match between what the video promises and what the viewer actually finds).

The daily routine

Check your activations every evening between 9 pm and 10 pm (when the day's purchases are consolidated). In 3 minutes: (1) note the number of activations, (2) match it with the video posted that day or the day before (format? hook? CTA? product?), (3) write down what you noticed. After 30 days you have a clear picture of what converts, based on real data, not guesswork.

Invitations are warm leads: they clicked and signed up but have not ordered yet. Lots of invitations + few activations = a conversion problem at the end of the funnel (prices too high in the spreadsheet, broken link, spreadsheet not up to date).
Guide 37

Contacting support

The 3 channels, the message that gets a reply within 24 hours, the time zone.

When a problem comes up (stuck order, missing QC, lost parcel, wrong size), the agent's support team is your only point of contact. How fast it gets resolved depends directly on how the message is written: a vague message gets a vague reply; a structured message with the order number and factual details gets a solution within 24 hours.

The 3 channels, ranked by speed

  • Live chat (2-10 min). The fastest, during Chinese business hours (9am-6pm Beijing = 3am-12pm French time). For simple questions and emergencies.
  • A ticket in the dashboard (12-24 h). The most structured: a ticket linked to an order automatically attaches the context (number, history, status). For documented claims.
  • Support email (24-48 h). For complex cases with attachments (QC photos, screenshots, proof of payment).

The template for an effective message

Always structure it with 4 elements:

  1. The order number (e.g. "Order #AP-20250524-1234").
  2. A factual description: not "it's stuck" but "order placed on May 10, item arrived at the warehouse on the 15th, QC received on the 16th, GL sent on the 17th, not shipped for 7 days".
  3. Photos / screenshots if relevant (product flaw, display error, stuck tracking).
  4. A precise request ("Could you please check the expedition status?" / "I would like a refund for this item").

A message with these 4 elements gets a reply 2x faster and 3x more useful than a vague message.

The time zone: support runs on Beijing time (UTC+8). Sending between 3am and 12pm French time guarantees a same-day reply. A message sent at 8pm French time is only handled the next morning, meaning an unavoidable 10-12 hour wait.
